Its a Brand New Year!!~

Its 2005!!
My first post of the New Year!!

To think I actually spent most of the initial hours of 2005 sleeping...haha...

Reached home at about 4am this morning after watching Kungfu Hustle at Marina Square...
My friends told me its rather lame and true to their words...it came across to me as too exaggerated and nonsensical. Then again, what do u expect from a Stephen Chow movie?
But at least it did make me laugh and i think most importantly I enjoyed the movie for its "in the face" style hunour...not a bad start to my new year i suppose... :)

Before the movie, we actually went to have dinner at Marche, the queue was surprisingly short when we reached there. Our initial plan actually, was to have a steamboat dinner at Joaquim, but no matter how good the quality and variety of food is, the price of $38.80 per person was too expensive...certainly not worth it. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our dinner at Marche before going over to Rocky Masters for a nice drink to whill time while waiting for our movie. We eventually decided to move over to Esplanade hoping for some entertainment from the new year celebrations ongoing there. I wasn't expecting alot of people since the fireworks and other celebratory stuffs were cancelled as a mark of respect to the victims of the Tsumani tragedy. To my surprise, the human traffic there was quite heavy and we had a hard time squeezing through in the end. Eventually we found a spot to settle down and waited for the countdown which unexpectedly didn't come...not that we mind one bit because we understand that while we are celebrating, millions of people out there might still be suffering from the after effects of the tragedy... :(

Chatted on the phone with a good friend the moment I reached home after the movie...we talked about alot of stuffs and both of us didn't realise it was almost 6 until my handphone rang. Quite surprising to know from her that the Pastamania in Tampines Mall actually have an outdoor section...boy...Its been a long time since i went there...haha...

Woke up in the afternoon at around 2 for my breakfast...haha...only bcos my mum couldn't stand me sleeping the whole afternoon away and waste a pack of nasi lemak which she claimed to be piping hot when she came back from market in the morning...ah whatever...The rice sucks anyway...lolz!~

As i settled down comfortably in front of my TV, news coverages of the Tsunami disaster just kept on appearing on the screen and the death toll is increasing rapdily as days past by...Quite saddened by these tragic news...who wouldn't anyway. Its really a shame Nature chose to end the year with a disaster of this magnitude...all I hope is the victims who are still suffering from the after-effects of the disaster can recover quickly and get on with their lives...
