~~ Blogging for the sake of....????? ~~

Been exploring and reading alot of blogs for the past few days...what started out as an attempt to see some new pretty face bloggers(Haha!!!) ended up with me getting more than I initally asked for. I have to admit, I visit some blogs with the intention to see photos ONLY, that's about all. But if their language manages to grab my attention, then they will be on my favourite list for at least a period of time.

Anyway, the search has led me to many other blogs of different genres through the links available on the blogs I initially visited. Great exposure I would say, since I came across blogs that contain details of its owner's day to day life, to some who utilise their blogs to bring across their political agenda. Of course, there are some other blogs which are utter crap and did not even deserve more than 3 seconds of my time. Somewhat like mine. Wahahaha!!

Which brings me to my point here, why do people blog? And should our blog be exposed to the general public who are all strangers you might not have seen before? I do not have such a worry because so far my site meter has assured me that whatever I post on my blog will be shared only among the few people I know who would bother to read the crap. Some of these crap I posted before reflects my thoughts on particular events that occured or simply my rantings just because I felt like it. I always think it would be nice if we could actually look back 2-3 years on and see what we have posted before. Then we could spend some time and recollect the events that we went through with relative ease because everything is documented. Hmm...I am looking forward to doing that in future. Heh...

I do remember mentioning before that I would love to keep my blog simple and I do have an easy task at that. I admit I am rather uncomfortable to divulge too much of myself to people I do not even know. Not that it matters, just that...well...it really does not feel right. Without making any particular reference, I would assume that higher readership would also mean you somehow lose the freedom to blabber whatever you want without fear of offending any particular group of people. That about kills all the fun that is to blogging. I am sure many of the famous bloggers have been through that before. I wonder how many would actually silently wish that their own personal space could have just remained the way it was.

A trade off between fame and privacy, I seen many meaningful blogs close down just because it was generating unwanted attention. Meaningful blogs in a sense that it really depicts the owner's life and thoughts the way it is, without any real attempt to beautify or sensationalise. As a matter of fact, I read a few blogs just today that really touched me. So much so that I actually went on to read the past archives so that I could relate to the thoughts of the particular blogger. It really may sound absurd that one would spend time reading about another person who is totally unrelated and not of any particular significance, but I really found it an enjoyment. The pleasure of being able to relate to the life story of someone else and from it derive some thoughts of your own. A meaningful learning process in itself.

I realised all these blogs that I came to enjoy reading the most all possesses similar traits. Which is what I mentioned earlier on, all kept simple and private. Well, now maybe not so private now since they will have one more anonymous reader in me but I guess keeping it that way would be good enough. They probably do not know my existence and would blog the way they used to. And I will continue to enjoy reading whatever they deem fit to share. Keep it up, my "new friends!!"
